When you have a young child, the playground quickly becomes your best friend. There are simply so many days when you need to get out of the house and shake up your regular routine. With a local playground, you will always have a destination you know will capture your child’s attention so you can take a break for a bit. As an Orange County family photographer, I adore working with parents to create memories that will last a lifetime. Here are the playgrounds in Orange County I think you will love!
Get Out Of The House And Burn Off Energy At These Great Playgrounds In Orange County
Marina Park
1600 W. Balboa Boulevard, Newport Beach, California 92663
Marina Park is a waterfront location that gives your child plenty of ways to explore! Located amidst 10.5 acres, the park features an outdoor fitness circuit, walking trails, and basketball courts. Your Orange County child will have the time of their lives exploring the nautical-themed playground. Once you are done here, you can stop for lunch at the Lighthouse Bayview Cafe.

Northwood Community Park (Castle Park)
4531 Bryan Ave, Irvine, California 92620
Northwood Community Park–also known as Castle Park–is a darling space perfect for kids ages 2-10. The sand castle-themed playground gives your Orange County child ways to climb, run, and slide. Just steps away is a larger playground where older kids can play independently. It’s the perfect spot for entertaining siblings!

Bluebird Park
772 Cress Street, Laguna Beach, California 92651
Bluebird Park is always a great destination for the more adventurous kiddos. The rocket-themed play equipment is going to take your child to brand new heights before they race down the tube slide. If your child would prefer something a little lower to the ground, they offer play equipment for toddlers. Because most of the equipment is metal, it can get pretty hot during those summer days, so this is a better option for temperate spring and winter weather.

Victory Park
3300 Park Avenue, Tustin, California 92782
Victory Park is a sprawling space with equipment for kids of all ages. While the park itself is less than half the size of Marina Park, it’s much more open, giving your child plenty of space to run around and explore. Their playground is massive, with endless ways to engage your Orange County child’s energy. They have it all from tube slides to tire swings!

Fullerton Sports Complex
560 E. Silver Pine Street, Fullerton, California 92835
Fullerton Sports Complex is a great destination for the entire family. You can head over to the baseball fields for a game of catch or stretch your legs on the recreation trail. The playground is located beneath sails to ensure it stays cool regardless of the actual temperature. Your child will be able to climb ladders and race down slides as you sit on a neighboring shaded bench.
